For Teachers Appreciation Week, we recognized the dedication and commitment of our 2025-2026 Territorial Teachers of the Year (TTOY) finalists representing Samoana High School (Mafi Iakopo), Manulele Elementary (Edison Padaca), Lupelele Elementary (Matasaua Pefu), and the TTOY Mr. Elisaia Mailo of Tafuna High School. Our teachers are among the hardest working professionals whose contributions often go unsung. We applaud their efforts to ensure their students K-12 experiences are meaningful often times even reaching into their own pockets. Our Party has always believed in investing in our education system and giving teachers fair compensation including the resources to do their jobs well -- not dismantling Federal departments and making it difficult to access crucial federal funds. Thank you again to all of our educators for shaping the minds and future leaders of American Samoa! ... See MoreSee Less

We recognize and thank the hardworking men and women of law enforcement who dedicate themselves every day to keeping our communities safe. As funding cuts from President Trump and Congressional Republicans continue to impact our communities, the challenges facing law enforcement have only grown harder. Rising substance use, mental health struggles, and related crimes require more than just awareness. They require real investment in safer communities, prevention programs, rehabilitation services, and public safety resources. We honor the service of our officers not only with words, but by advocating for leaders and policies that give them the tools they need to do their jobs effectively and safely.Happy Police Week and Fa’afetai tele lava to all those who serve and protect our community. 💙 ...
